130 Years on the Corner
"Everyone always asks us about the history of the Little Red House…" — so here it is.
A Victorian Is Born
The charming red house with its wraparound porch is built at Lighthouse Avenue & 17th Street — a private family residence.
It Moves House
The whole house is relocated up the street to Lighthouse & 19th, beside a lot of eucalyptus trees — now the town post office. It hasn't budged since.
Restored to Glory
After a century, the Little Red House is lovingly restored to its original condition, ready for a new chapter.
The Café Opens
Christopher & Laura D'Amelio open Red House Café in the main house, with a garden shop in the old carriage house. Both are still here today.
A Star on Screen
The Little Red House and its garden are featured in a national AT&T television commercial.
Your Turn
Come dine with us and become a part of the Little Red House history, too. See you soon.
